Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Pasadena with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Always such friendly and welcoming staff and delicious food of course! I moved away from Pasadena and every time I visit I stop in! The chicken salad sandwich is my favorite especially on a hot summer day along with the cold pasta salad.

I work nearby and eat here fairly often. I made a mistake today and got the Italian BLT. This is one of their worst sandwiches. Strength is the fresh baked italian rolls, ensure your sandwich is on that. Italian sub, Kobe Roast beef sandwich, the sides and the hot food are all strengths. Today was a whiff on the Italian BLT. Itβs just a ton of bacon with minimal tomato/arugula on a brioche bun. Service is great, theyβre incredibly quick and reliable there. Outdoor eating area is great and shaded too.

Review is for food only. I was looking for a subway sandwich and wanted to try something new. Got their Saturday special, chicken club panini, and chicken salad Saturday Special: I think the meat was tri tip. Too dry for my taste. Bread was nothing special. Cheese helps but the sandwich overall was too dry. Chicken Club: much better than Saturday Special. More tastier. Chicken salad: the salad dressing makes this a try it once item. Very different. Unique. This helps make eating the Saturday Special bearable. Desserts: Double thumbs up. They are ungodly delicious.

Stopped by for lunch with a couple of coworkers the other day. Itβs a small, charming shop that specializes in sandwiches, but they also sell a variety of Italian pantry items like pasta, sauces, sodas, and other imported goods. Definitely worth browsing while you wait. I ordered the Artisan Salami Sandwich with a side of macaroni salad. The sandwich was really solid. The fresh mozzarella added a nice creaminess and kept everything moist. The macaroni salad was just okay for me. It was a bit too mayo-heavy, though the olives and pickles helped balance it out. I also tried their 7-layer dessert bar, which was rich and tasty, although a little on the sweet side. Thereβs a nice shaded outdoor seating area if you want to dine in, which makes it a pleasant lunch option on a nice day. It does get busy during the lunch rush, so ordering online ahead of time is a good idea. The only downside is that it feels a little pricey for what you get, but overall itβs a solid sandwich spot with good vibes and quality ingredients.

Yesterday while I was at work in the City of Pasadena I asked around if there was something good around to try, and I got recommended one specific item which was Lamb sandwich with grilled eggplant and olives . Personally I don't eat lamb but the fact that it comes with eggplant and olives which I love them plus was recommended I decided to go for it. Being my first time When I arrived I was totally surprised, place looks amazing and clean, I saw thru the display many cooked items I believe they are for the variety of food served here or by the pound I'm not sure, is a deli-mart place. Which has cookies, candies, drinks, wine, muffins, frozen food and more. The girl who helped me is very friendly, very helpful, the service she provided me was perfect can't denied. Now the recommended sandwich part, well it's was a big amount of lamb in a baguette with 2 slices of eggplant and the olives which i didn't feel any half cut nor sliced one, it was more like the olive juice with slightly minced olives , I didn't feel the taste or flavor of olives till I was halfway done with the sandwich. Honestly and personally I would be more exited to try a meaty sandwich if the sandwich has some may
